Mileage Challenge 2008

The Challenge

This mileage challenge has two parts.

PART 1 - CHAPTER MILES
We want to see who puts on the most "chapter miles" in the course of a year.
Chapter miles are basically miles traveled with the chapter.

PART 2 - OVERALL MILES
We want to see who puts on the most "overall miles" in a year...
(no... this doesn't mean you have to wear overalls while riding).

Member stats will be posted on the website throughout the year to urge on that sense of friendly competition... not to mention BRAGGING RIGHTS!!!!

We will also be posting three CHAPTER TOTALS.
Total Mileage Of All Chapter Rides (total available chapter miles possible)
Total Miles Traveled As A Chapter (sum of all individual "chapter miles" stats)
Total Miles Ridden (sum of all individual "overall miles" stats)

CHAPTER MILES

bullet

Registered riders attending a chapter ride (monthly, ad hoc or overnighter) will be credited with chapter miles for those miles traveled with the group. These miles begin at the rally point and end at the breakup point. If a rider chooses to join the ride late, or leave the ride early, the First Officer, Second Officer or the Ride Captain will log the mileage at that point and the rider will be credited accordingly.

bullet

Chapter rides are defined as any ride where 3 or more chapter members are present and include the following:

bullet

    Monthly chapter ride (shown on the ride calendar as "chapter ride #x") regardless of how many members are present;

bullet

Ad hoc rides (those impromptu rides that pop up on the forum) where 3 or more chapter members are present,
